Data Protection Consent Management

Consent is at the core of the DPDPA Compliance

Pursuant to section 4(1) of the DPDP Act 23, every business needs to ensure that they have a proper legal basis to process personal data. Consent is the primary legal basis lying at the core of any lawful data processing 1(1a)

Further, section 5(1) of the Act mandates that every request made to a data principal for consent must be accompanied or preceded by a privacy notice specifying the rights of data principal and purpose(s) of collecting personal information.

Organizations may use personal data across multiple departments, each with different purposes; the management of consent is beyond manual.

As the act applies to any data collected before August 11, 2023, DPCM allows organizations to act on legacy data by sending privacy notices and consent in bulk.

DPCM is available as a SAAS model that helps businesses obtain valid consent. It is designed to automate the management of personal data consent requests, establishing a robust system for tracking and handling such requests within companies.

DPCM includes feature-rich dashboards to check compliance positions on the fly at multiple levels to help the management monitor the entire process, identify bottlenecks and take practical remedial actions to remain compliant.
